Hooper Bald
Hooper Bald is located just off of the Cherohala Skyway,
a few miles past the Tennessee and North Carolina state line in NC.
Once the site of a hunting preserve in 1908, where Russian Boar and other
exotic species were imported into the area by George Moore.
A short walk from the parking area takes you to the bald
where you can see Huckleberry Knob and the surrounding mountains.
